Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. Acts 2:41
Mission of 1000 Souls
Father,
It is with fear and trembling that I boldly enter into Your presence on behalf of the souls on this blog and around the world who are currently in the grips of our great enemy. Father, Your Word promises me that if I ask anything according to Your will that You will hear my prayer and grant my request. Father, I aslo know that Your Word says that You are not willing that ANY SHOULD PERISH, but that ALL should come to repentance and salvation in Jesus Christ. Father, this goes beyond simply reciting a prayer or making a mental decision. I am asking based upon Your Holy Word that each and every soul that is represented on this blog and that happens upon this blog will have an encounter with the One and True Living ALMIGHTY GOD that is so real that it brings them to their knees in repentance seeking mercy. Father, I do not want to pray for more false converts, but rather that true repentance will sweep the land and lost souls will be rescued from everlasting fire and damnation. It is in Your Holy Name and by Your Holy Power that I declare war against the enemy of their souls and boldly ask that You answer the prayer of Your daughter who is only burdened for them because You have chosen to burden me!
Praise be to Your Holy
Name for what You will do through this blog. I love, worship, and honor You
forever and always.
Amen

A Good Thing To Keep In Mind
Author: Elisabeth Elliot
Source: A Lamp For My Feet
Scripture Reference: Mark 4:33
Able to Receive
A young woman asked recently why it is that godly professors in her seminary are on opposite sides of certain doctrinal fences. A partial answer is that we know only in part. None of us sees the whole truth, and what we do see is "through a glass darkly." We are at different stages of the journey.
Sometimes I sympathize with the author of Psalm 119--"Gusts of anger seize me as I think of evil men who forsake Thy law"--and wish I could force people to accept what I see as truth. Jesus did not force them. "With many such parables He would give them His message, so far as they were able to receive it" (Mk 4:33 NEB). There may be some who are willing but not able to receive, others able but not willing. Only God can be sure who's who. We are to be faithful in transmitting the message and willing to respect the hearer. If God grants him freedom of will to receive or reject, so must I. If he is as yet unable to receive it, I must entrust him to God, remembering the narrow limits of my own understanding as well.

Excited Tonight about the One TRUE GOD!!!

Hebrews 9:23-30 (New American Standard Bible)
23Therefore it was necessary for the copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
For Christ did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;
nor was it that He would offer Himself often, as the high priest enters the holy place year by year with blood that is not his own.
Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now once at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,
So Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.
Man, THAT IS EXCITING STUFF!!!! It's late and I should be in bed, but I just can't get over my joy in the Lord tonight!! I typed in the words, "One True God" on Bible Gateway and found this passage. LOOK AT THIS!!
Hebrews has been my life book. It saved me from the years of bondage thinking I could lose my salvation. Here it is again. He didn't enter a Holy place made with the mere hands of men. NO SIR!! He entered the heavens, the home of GOD ALMIGHTY! Because He is MY GREAT HIGH PRIEST, He no longer has to suffer often for my many sins, but "now once at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself". If you are a Christian, and that doesn't excite you, THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY WRONG WITH YOU!
Then, look at the last of it. We walk around (and I am including myself in this) focusing on our burdens and our circumstances like the saddest sack people on the planet. No wonder no one wants to be a Christian. We are kill joys! Here we are told that Christ offered once to BEAR THE SINS OF MANY and He Will appear a second time WITHOUT REFERENCE TO SIN, to who?? To the world? No!! To those who EAGERLY await Him!!!
How eager are you for Christ's return? Are you thinking...no my baby needs to grow up, no I have to get married, no I want a career, etc. etc. I used the think that way when I was a nominal Christian (and most likely NOT SAVED), BUT NOT NOW! Man, I can tell you if it weren't for the deep burden of my soul for so many that are going to meet this day of judgment NOT IN CHRIST, I would be ready to see Him RIGHT THIS VERY MINUTE! But, for your sakes, I am grateful He tarries.
Please, don't waste ONE MORE SECOND of your life on THIS PERISHING WORLD that offers false god's made by the hands of men. SURRENDER your heart today to THE ONE TRUE GOD not made by human hands. If you will, you will NEVER REGRET IT and YOU WON'T HAVE TO HOLD ON TO HIM because HE WILL HOLD ON TO YOU FOR ETERNITY!!

Waiting
But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt with fire. Leviticus 7:17 (KJV)
The following devotional deeply convicted me this morning because the Lord has been saying this to me for months and months (maybe years actually). I know it in my head, but in practice I am a poor player. The one encouragement is the first line, "It may seem and easy thing to wait, but is is one of the postures which a Christian soldier learns not without years of teaching."
Wait on the Lord
"Wait on the Lord."--Psalm 27:14
It may seem an easy thing to wait, but it is one of the postures which a Christian soldier learns not without years of teaching. Marching and quick-marching are much easier to God's warriors than standing still. There are hours of perplexity when the most willing spirit, anxiously desirous to serve the Lord, knows not what part to take. Then what shall it do? Vex itself by despair? Fly back in cowardice, turn to the right hand in fear, or rush forward in presumption? No, but simply wait. Wait in prayer, however. Call upon God, and spread the case before Him; tell Him your difficulty, and plead His promise of aid. In dilemmas between one duty and another, it is sweet to be humble as a child, and wait with simplicity of soul upon the Lord. It is sure to be well with us when we feel and know our own folly, and are heartily willing to be guided by the will of God. But wait in faith. Express your unstaggering confidence in Him; for unfaithful, untrusting waiting, is but an insult to the Lord. Believe that if He keep you tarrying even till midnight, yet He will come at the right time; the vision shall come and shall not tarry. Wait in quiet patience, not rebelling because you are under the affliction, but blessing your God for it. Never murmur against the second cause, as the children of Israel did against Moses; never wish you could go back to the world again, but accept the case as it is, and put it as it stands, simply and with your whole heart, without any self-will, into the hand of your covenant God, saying, "Now, Lord, not my will, but Thine be done. I know not what to do; I am brought to extremities, but I will wait until Thou shalt cleave the floods, or drive back my foes. I will wait, if Thou keep me many a day, for my heart is fixed upon Thee alone, O God, and my spirit waiteth for Thee in the full conviction that Thou wilt yet be my joy and my salvation, my refuge and my strong tower."C.H.S.
Father,
I am a pitiful waiter upon you. Despite the numerous times you have stood up from your drowsing and calmed the storm, I am repeatedly like the disciples, "Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?" (Mark 4:38b) But, You my Father, my King, my Lord, my Redeemer, my Savior, my Counselor, my gentle Rebuker, my Patient Faithful Father, You always say to me, "Why are you so timid? How is it that you have no faith?" to which I crumple up at Your feet once again in utter shame and amazement at You and wonder, "Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?" (taken from Mark 4:40-41)
Once again, Father, thank You for Your never ending mercy upon me. Thank You that I can know that these past months of torment and frustration were allowed by You through satan in order to prove me, test me, burn off the dross, and KILL ME, so that the beautiful aroma of Jesus Christ's nature could come through. I am ashamed of the stench of my flesh, but I am grateful that You have not stopped, yet again, to allow the burning of it that something more beautiful would shine through.
AMAZEMENT HAS SEIZED ME YET AGAIN!
Amen
